Accreditation
Accreditation
Unfortunately, online accreditation is no longer possible. However, you can still apply for accreditation on site.
Guidelines
As trade fair organizers, we want to make it easier for journalists to access information about our events and our company with the help of accreditation. Accreditation is carried out exclusively for the purpose of journalistic reporting.
Media accreditation can be obtained by:
People from home or abroad who can prove their journalistic (including photo-journalistic) activity (related to the respective trade fair topic) as follows:
a. by presenting name items that are not older than six months at the time of the event,
b. by submitting an imprint in which they are named as editors, permanent editorial staff or authors and which is not older than three months at the time of the event,
c. by submitting an original written order from a full editorial team with reference to the current trade fair,
d. by means of a web link to an online publication that is established in the respective industry community and has an appropriate reach. In these cases, advance accreditation is required due to increased testing effort. Such online media must have existed for at least three months, have regular entries and the last text relating to the trade fair topic must be no more than three months old. (In individual cases there may be separate, more detailed accreditation rules for bloggers and a separate status for bloggers.)
e. by presenting proof that they work for school newspapers that is no more than six months old, or by presenting a valid ID card from a youth press organization, or by presenting a written confirmation from the school confirming the editorial work for the school newspaper.
f. Holder of a valid press card from a domestic or foreign journalists' association.
We would like to point out that presenting a press card is generally not the sole basis for accreditation. The trade fair organizer reserves the right to request further evidence to verify journalistic activity in accordance with points a to e.
The credentials should be presented in German or English. In individual cases, the trade fair organizer reserves the right to additionally require the presentation of a valid identity document with a photo. There is no right to accreditation. If necessary, the trade fair organizer makes use of its house rules.
The following groups of people are not accredited:
- People without journalistic credentials, such as E.g. customer advisors, sales managers, advertising managers or webmasters, PR consultants and private escorts
- Germans residing in Germany who present a foreign press card
- People who submit a written assignment from a freelance journalist
- People who are only privately active in social networks
